NDTV and Aircel have been campaigning to save our tigers. We have been highlighting all the major issues and problems and taking our agenda to the Chief Ministers of all tiger states and now our big push for the tiger – we are raising money to create Rapid Response Teams - RRTs who will be equipped to protect our tigers and respond to any emergency in and around our tiger parks. We hope this will create a model that can be repeated across the country.
For this Save Our Tigers initiative has partnered with Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT), an NGO which endeavors to strengthen the protection of forest ecosystems and mitigate climate change by working towards the following: About WCT
 Forest Protection,
Training and capacity building of forest personnel,
Motivation of forest personnel,
Health and education of communities living along forest periphery,
Strengthening NGOs and individuals working in the field of wildlife conservation
How will my donation be used?
Donating equipment to the RRTs (Rapid Response Teams). RRT will comprise of trained forest staff designated by the forest department. Each team will comprise of both permanent staff and daily-wagers. The salary of these individuals will be the responsibility of the forest department.
To take insurance policies for guards and daily wagers of Tiger Reserves.
To equip forest outposts.
